Put This Legislation in Your Pipe and Smoke It

While our beloved Centennial State is over twelve years into recreational cannabis sales—the longest run in the country — issues keep surfacing, from taxation to sales and consumption, affecting everyone from growers to dispensaries. Three bills have been recently introduced of note to cannabis consumers and business owners. They include a proposal to allow marijuana-friendly special event permits (currently there are only four licensed lounges in the state, all in Denver); allowing medical marijuana inside hospitals; and updates to wholesale taxes. Rumors of additional measures are also on the way, all of which could continue setting trends that other states follow.
