Mountain Tap’s Buddy Board!

Now here’s a chalkboard you want to be on. Behind the bar of Mountain Tap Brewery downtown is what’s affectionately called the “Buddy Board” a chalkboard listing the names of people who other people bought a beer for. If you’re on it, all you have to do is point it out to your bartender and—voila!—redeem your free beer. (Go in with an ID saying you’re Tom Smith and you might get that one, too.) “Guests love to treat their friends, relatives, or total strangers to a free beer on the Buddy Board,” says co-owner Wendy Tucciarone. “They use it to express gratitude to someone in the community or surprise visiting friends. Some Lucky Buddies have received 10 or more beers from a special friend.”
