The city of Craig has a Bad Alibi. Bad Alibi Distillery just opened in Steamboat’s neighbor to the west at 23 1/2 West Fourth St. Using a grain-to-glass process for locally produced spirits, Bad Alibi “was founded to tell the stories of Northwest Colorado through craft spirits and historic Western narratives rooted in the region’s landscape and people.” “This project has been years in the making, and opening our doors marks an important milestone not only for us as founders, but for the Craig community,” says owner Wade Gerber. “We set out to build something that honors the history of Northwest Colorado while creating a new destination for locals and visitors.
