Get ready for some suds and wine-sipping after supping Pearl Lake. Yes, Steamboat SUP rental company Paddleboard Adventure Co. has procured a prestigious license to open up a bar on Pearl Lake, so you can kick back and swill beer, wine and ranch waters at sunset (or before) after your paddle.

“It’s going to be pretty sweet,” says owner Danny Tebbenkamp, adding the retro-fitted bar/trailer should be ready by mid-June, complete with a fenced-in turf yard. “It’s going to be a great place to sit back and relax and celebrate your day. And the sunsets up there are aawesome.” Nestled next to Farwell Mountain with views of Hahns Peak and Sand Mountain, the lake, located 40 minutes north of Steamboat, has become a town favorite for paddling, with his rental kiosk and bar located on the old boat ramp on the point, a veritable oasis overlooking the lake. The company carries several brands of boards, kayaks and canoes, as well as the giant SUPSquatch for float-and-bloat parties and games of king of the board. Info: www.paddleboardadventurecompany.com
